Docent Program

Do you love nature? Are you curious and like to learn? Do you enjoy giving back through service? If so, Yakona Nature Preserve & Learning Center is the place for you!

Yakona docents are a special breed of individuals who love this place. They help with educational programs, public access, and habitat management. They meet bimonthly to learn more about the region, and they help keep Yakona special.

We invite you to become a Yakona docent. You will need to complete an orientation before you begin, and a fingerprint/background check if you volunteer through our educational programs.
