Monique is a respected thought-leader and speaker on corporate social responsibility and philanthropy topics. She recently retired as a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where she led philanthropy, communications, marketing and public affairs in her various assigned markets, including Oregon. Before that, Monique was the Executive Director of The Cambia Foundation at Regence/Cambia BlueCross BlueShield, where she established and launched the company’s first-ever corporate foundation and designed its signature palliative care philanthropy program. Prior to that, she headed up the Public Relations & Community Affairs Department at Gard Communications, a regional public affairs and advertising agency.  She has served on numerous nonprofit boards, advisory councils and committees, including Portland Metro Chapter’s Public Relations Society of America, and American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women. She received her degree in Advertising from Brigham Young University,  and is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America. Monique was born and raised in South Africa.
